LUCIE — An internal affairs investigation released Thursday shows no disciplinary action will be taken against the officers involved in a mid-February traffic stop during which a former assistant city attorney who was suspected of drinking and driving was not cited and instead driven home by police. However, Police Chief Brian Reuther said he ended the Police Department’s common discretional practice of arranging rides home for impaired drivers and not automatically issuing field sobriety tests during DUI stops.
